The number that matters
On Kajabi's Basic plan, using your own Stripe or PayPal account costs you an extra 2% of every sale — on top of Stripe's own processing fee, and on top of the $143 monthly. OpusFunnel charges 0%, on every plan.
| Your monthly sales | Kajabi Basic ($143 + 2%) | OpusFunnel Grow | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0 | $143 | $97 | $46 |
| $2,500 | $193 | $97 | $96 |
| $5,000 | $243 | $97 | $146 |
| $10,000 | $343 | $97 | $246 |
| $25,000 | $643 | $97 | $546 |
What a creator selling $10,000 a month saves in a year.
Being precise: if you use Kajabi Payments you pay 2.9% + 30¢ and no platform fee — comparable to Stripe direct. The 2% applies when you bring your own Stripe or PayPal account. Kajabi's fee drops to 1% on Growth ($199) and 0.5% on Pro ($399). OpusFunnel never charges a platform percentage on any plan or any processor.

We'd rather you pick the right tool than the one we sell. Kajabi has real advantages and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise.
If those matter more to you than a 2% fee and a $46–$246 monthly difference, Kajabi is a good choice and we'd rather you were happy there.
Switching
Most of it transfers. Here's the honest version of what's involved.
| What moves | How | Effort |
|---|---|---|
| Contacts & tags | CSV export → import | Minutes |
| Course videos & lessons | Download and re-upload | An afternoon |
| Pages & funnels | Rebuilt from our templates | Half a day |
| Email sequences | Copy across, rebuild triggers | A few hours |
| Active subscriptions | Customers re-enter payment details | The real friction |
Be aware: existing subscription billing cannot be transferred between platforms — card details live with the processor, not the platform. Existing members will need to re-subscribe. Most people move new sales across first and let old subscriptions run out. On Grow and Scale we'll do the migration for you, free.
Questions
Yes, if you bring your own Stripe or PayPal account on Kajabi's Basic plan. Stripe charges its usual ~2.9% + 30¢, and Kajabi adds 2% on top of that. Using Kajabi Payments avoids the extra 2% but locks you to their processor. With OpusFunnel you use your own Stripe and pay only Stripe.
Because email costs real money to deliver, and there are only two ways to pay for it: cap the volume, or take a percentage of your revenue. We chose the cap. Grow includes 40,000 sends a month, which covers a 10,000-person list emailed weekly. Overage is billed at cost plus a small margin, not as a share of your sales.
Not yet. Your members get a branded web portal that works on any phone, but there's no app in the App Store with your name on it. If that's essential for you today, Kajabi is the better fit and we'd say so.
Realistically a day of work for a single course, longer for a large catalogue. The genuine friction isn't the content, it's active subscriptions — those can't move between platforms and members have to re-subscribe. On Grow and Scale we handle the migration for you.
Scale is $197 with unlimited contacts, AI that answers your inbox and API access. Kajabi's equivalent tier is $399 plus 0.5% of sales. The gap gets wider as you get bigger, which is rather the point.
Same business, half the software bill, none of your revenue.
