Because we can't do it honestly at our cost base. systeme.io owns its infrastructure; we pay per email sent and per gigabyte stored. A free plan we'd have to cripple or quietly subsidise isn't a good deal for anyone. Instead our entry plan is free forever — and it includes a full website, funnels, a course with unlimited members and checkout, with a 2% fee on sales instead of a subscription.
Unlimited contacts as well — the difference is what surrounds them. Our Launch plan is a different product: it adds the unified inbox, CRM, pipelines, booking calendar, forms, surveys, attribution and automation. You're paying for capability, not headroom.
Yes. Bulk texts go out from Contacts on your own number, with a consent tick, a segment counter and scheduling, and replies land in the inbox. SMS is metered at $0.02 a segment from a balance you top up, so the plan price stays flat. US numbers need a carrier registration (10DLC), which the app walks you through. Yes. Contacts export as CSV, course content downloads and re-uploads, and pages get rebuilt from our templates. The one thing that can't transfer is active subscription billing — that's true of any platform move. On Grow and Scale we'll do the migration for you.
