Built for E-commerce
Shopify gives you a great storefront and then sells you the marketing back as apps. Here the store, the funnels, the email, the automation and the customer record are one system, at 0% platform fee.
Store from $29 · 0% platform fee · physical and digital
The usual problem
Nobody struggles to put products on a page. The cost and the complexity arrive with everything that has to happen around it.
Subscriptions app, upsell app, review app, email app, abandoned-cart app. Each is $15–40 a month and each holds a piece of your customer data.
A store is built for browsing. A launch needs a single-product funnel with a bump and an upsell, and that is usually a second platform.
The person who bought in the store and the person who opted into the lead magnet are separate records until an integration reconciles them, imperfectly.
What you get
Sell the way the product needs selling, without a second platform or a sync.
01
Collections, categories, filters, variants, inventory, tax by region and shipping by weight or destination. Physical and digital in the same catalogue. $29 plan.
02
A launch page with an order bump and a one-click upsell, selling the same product as the storefront, with no duplicate listing to maintain.
03
Every plan, permanently. Only your processor's fee applies, and that goes to your processor.
04
Abandoned cart, post-purchase sequences, win-back campaigns and review requests, running on purchase data that is already in the system. $97 plan.
05
Orders, email engagement, page visits, support conversations and any course or membership they bought — on one contact, without an integration.
06
Recurring product orders and subscription boxes with dunning on failed payments, rather than a $29-a-month app.
The maths
| Shopify Basic | $39/mo |
| Klaviyo (10,000 contacts) | $150/mo |
| Subscriptions app | $29/mo |
| Upsell app | $25/mo |
| Abandoned-cart app | $19/mo |
| All of it, on OpusFunnel | $97/mo |
Shopify is the better pure e-commerce platform and we would not pretend otherwise. This comparison is about the marketing stack that grows around it.
Where to start
E-commerce lives on email and automation — abandoned cart, post-purchase and win-back are where the margin is — and those start on the $97 plan.
If you only need the storefront and checkout while you validate the products, $29 Sell covers that completely.
Questions
Honestly: not if you are shipping hundreds of SKUs with complex logistics, multi-warehouse inventory and a deep app ecosystem. Shopify is better at that. This is for a focused catalogue where the marketing matters as much as the fulfilment, and where you would rather not run six subscriptions to do it.
Yes, in one cart and one payment. Each item delivers by its type — digital unlocks in the portal, physical goes to your fulfilment list.
Tax rules by region and shipping rates by weight, price or destination. For complex multi-jurisdiction VAT you may still want an accountant's tooling alongside.
Your own Stripe and PayPal accounts, settling directly to you. 0% platform fee on top at any volume.
Products and customers import by CSV. Storefront pages get rebuilt, and we do that free on the $97 plan and above.
