Manage texting for your clients

For agencies, see every client's number, registration, limit and delivery in one table, move numbers between clients, and set what new clients start with.

When you run texting for several clients, Texting across your clients shows who can text, who is waiting on the carriers and who has been paused, in one table. Each client registers under their own legal business, because carriers register the business that actually sends the texts.

Before you start

  • You are in your agency's own account, as an owner or admin.
  • Your clients have been added as sub-accounts.

Steps

See every client's texting

  1. Open Agency home and choose the Dashboard tab.
  2. In Newest clients, press Texting across your clients.
  3. Read the table. Clients that need attention are at the top: paused first, then unregistered, then the lowest delivery rates. - Number: the client's number, +1 more if they have several, or No number yet. - Registration: Not started, Waiting on the carriers, Registered or Needs attention. - Ramp: their daily list-texting level, for example Level 2 — 750 a day. - 30-day delivery: the share of texts that arrived, for example 96% with 480 of 500 delivered. - Status: empty when all is well, or Paused until a date with the reason.
  4. Press a client's name to switch into their account. Their Texting page opens, where you can buy a number, register, or read the carriers' reason for a refusal.

Move a number to another client

  1. Press Move to another business under the client's number.
  2. Choose Which number (if they have several) and, under Move it to, the client who should have it.
  3. Read the warning: the number comes off the first client's US registration, and texts to US numbers stop until the new client has finished their own.
  4. Press Move the number.

Set what new clients start with

  1. Open SaaS configurator and choose Texting for new clients.
  2. Set the opt-out line and how often it repeats, the business-name sign-off and the Texas rule.
  3. Choose whether Clients may register for US texting themselves. With it off, clients are told to ask you, and you register from inside their account.
  4. Add the email addresses that should hear about your clients' texting.

What happens next

  • Numbers, texts and registration fees are charged to each client's own wallet, unless you have arranged to cover them.
  • A client who has Needs attention stays at the top of the table until it is fixed.

Troubleshooting

"This screen is only available to agency accounts." You are inside a client's account or a business account. Switch back to your agency.

"Only an owner or admin of the agency can move a number." Ask an owner or admin of the agency to move it.

"That number is already on that account." You picked the client that already has it. Choose another.

A client is marked Needs attention. The carriers refused their business or campaign. Open the client and read The carriers said: on the Registration tab. The most common reason is a legal name that doesn't match the EIN record exactly.

A client with no website of their own was refused. Carriers open the website before approving. Publish the client's site, then resubmit.
