What white label covers, and what it does not

Every place your clients see your brand instead of anyone else's, the few places they do not, and what you need to set up for each.

White label puts your product name, logo, colours, domain and email on the app your clients use. Once it is set up, a client can sign in, work, get emails and ask the assistant for help without seeing any name but yours. This page lists each place, what it takes, and the few places that stay as they are.

Before you start

  • An agency account on Unlimited (one brand) or Resell (five brands).
  • Three things set up: a brand, your app domain and your sending domain. The Launchpad on Agency home walks you through them.

Steps

  1. Create your brand under Brands (see Create a brand).
  2. Put the app on your own domain under Sites › Domains (see Put the app on your own domain).
  3. Verify your sending domain under Settings › Channels (see Send email from your own domain).
  4. Check it the way a client would: open your app domain in a private browser window and sign in with a test client's login.

What happens next

With all three done, your brand appears on:

  • The sign-in page at your domain: your logo, your sign-in headline and subtext, your product name in the browser tab, and your support email and help link at the bottom.
  • The app: your logo in the sidebar (with a dark version for dark mode), your accent colour, your favicon and your product name in the browser tab.
  • The assistant: the panel is called "Ask" followed by your product name, and it answers as your product. It never names another company.
  • Emails to your clients: invitations carry your logo or name, and the emails for signing in, resetting a password or changing an address are sent under the brand of the account they are for. Your own welcome email replaces the standard one if you write it.
  • Links you send: invitation links, plan sale links and prospect reports open on your app domain once it is live.
  • Pages you sell from: your plan sale pages and prospect reports show your name and logo.
  • Hold screens: a client waiting for approval is told your agency checks every new account, and gets your name, not anyone else's.

What stays as it is:

  • Payment pages. Card payments, top-ups and the billing portal are Stripe's own pages. Stripe shows the business name set in the Stripe account.
  • Email before your sending domain is verified. Until then, mail goes from a shared address under the business's name. Clients inherit your agency's sending domain once it is verified.
  • Your clients' published pages on the built-in address. Every account starts with a built-in address for its funnels and sites that belongs to the platform, not to you. Connect the client's own domain under Sites › Domains so their customers never see it.
  • The shared sign-in address. A client who signs in at the shared address instead of yours sees the standard sign-in page. Once inside, they see your brand.
  • The invitation page is plain: it names the client's business but shows no logo.

For clients of an agency

Everything you see carries your agency's brand. See Sign in at your agency's address.

Troubleshooting

A client saw a different name on the sign-in page. They signed in at the shared address. Send them your app domain.

A client got an email from an address that is not ours. Your sending domain is not verified yet. See Send email from your own domain.

A client's customers see a strange web address on their funnel. That is the built-in address. Connect the client's own domain for their funnels.

The browser tab still shows the old name. Reload the page. The product name comes from the brand the client wears; check it under Brands.
