What your clients see
Follow a client from their invitation to the sign-in page, the app, their billing and their emails, and see what their own customers see.
The best way to check your white label is to go through it as a client would. This page follows a client of Northwind Studio, Bright Dental, from the day they are invited, and ends with what Bright Dental's own patients see.
Before you start
- A brand, a live app domain and a verified sending domain (see What white label covers, and what it does not).
- A test client account, invited to an email address you can read, for example an alias of your own.
Steps
- The invitation. Add a test client (see Add a client account). The email arrives from your sending domain with your logo, or your name in your accent colour, at the top. It says your agency has given them access to the business, with a link to accept.
- Joining. Open the link in a private browser window. It opens on your app domain. The page says "You've been invited to Bright Dental". Choose Create account, set a password and press Create my account. If it asks you to confirm your email first, do so and open the link again.
- The app. You land in Bright Dental's dashboard. Check the sidebar logo, the accent colour, the favicon and your product name in the browser tab. Switch the colour theme to dark and check your dark logo.
- The assistant. Press Ask AI. The panel is called "Ask" followed by your product name. Ask "Who are you?": it answers as your product.
- Billing. Open Settings › Billing & wallet. A client on one of your plans sees Your plan with your agency's name, their plan and its price, and the buttons you allow them (upgrade, downgrade, cancel). Otherwise they see "Your plan is arranged by your agency."
- Signing out and in. Sign out, then open your app domain. The sign-in page shows your logo, your sign-in headline and subtext, and your support email and help link at the bottom. Press Forgot your password? and check the reset email carries your brand.
What happens next
Your client's own customers see the client's brand, not yours:
- Published funnels, sites and checkout carry the business's own logo, name and colours, set in their account under Settings › Branding › What your customers see. Connect the client's own domain for these pages under Sites › Domains.
- The client portal, where their customers see what they bought, carries the client's branding.
- Emails to their contacts go from the client's sending domain, or from yours if they have not added one.
For clients of an agency
This is what you will see. See Sign in at your agency's address and Get help from your agency.
Troubleshooting
The invitation link opened on a shared address. Your app domain was not live when the invitation was made. Send a fresh link with Copy invite link once it is.
The sign-in page shows a different name. It was opened at the shared address, or at the domain of another of your brands. Each app domain shows the brand it serves.
The dark logo does not change in dark mode. No Logo (dark) is uploaded for the brand. Add one under Brands › Edit.
The help link is missing at the bottom of the sign-in page. No support link is set. Add it under Settings › Branding for your default brand.
The test client's billing shows no plan. They were added as a client you bill yourself. Put them on a plan with Put on a plan in their row menu.
