Choose which email alerts you get

See where alerts about new enquiries, bookings and orders are sent, and switch each one on or off.

BusinessTeam memberAgencyWhite labelAgency clientWho can do it: owner, admin

The app emails you the moment something needs you: a new enquiry, a new booking or a new order. You choose which of the three you want, and the address they go to is your business's contact email.

Before you start

  • To switch alerts on or off you must be an owner or admin. Members can see which are on.
  • Decide which inbox should get alerts. For Bright Dental, that might be the front desk's shared address.

Steps

  1. Open Settings › Notifications.
  2. The first card, Where leads reach you, holds your Contact email, Contact phone and Business address. These are the same details as on the General tab.
  3. The second card, Where alerts go, says which address owner alerts go to right now. With no contact email set, it shows the sign-in email, because alerts then go to the owner's sign-in address.
  4. To send alerts somewhere else, change Contact email in the first card and press Save. The message Contact details saved. appears, and Where alerts go shows the new address.
  5. Under Where alerts go, use the switch beside each alert: - New enquiry – when a form is sent on one of your pages. - New booking – when somebody books, so you know before they arrive. - New order – the moment somebody pays.
  6. Each switch saves at once. A message says Alert switched on or Alert switched off.

What happens next

From the next enquiry, booking or order, only the alerts that are on are emailed, to the address shown. All three are on for a new business.

Alerts about your own business are separate from the emails your customers get (their booking confirmation or receipt). Switching an alert off here does not stop your customer's email.

For agencies

Inside a client account, alerts go to the client's contact email. If the client has no contact email and no owner login yet, alerts go to your agency's alert address. Set the client's contact email to route them to the client.

For clients of an agency

The steps are the same. Set a Contact email so alerts reach the inbox you want, rather than depending on whose login is the owner's.

Troubleshooting

I'm not getting alerts. Check the address under Where alerts go, and that the switch for that alert is on. Then check the spam folder of that inbox, and add the sending address to your contacts.

Alerts go to my sign-in email, not the shop's inbox. With no Contact email set, alerts go to the owner's sign-in email. Fill in Contact email and save.

There are no switches, only "On" and "Off". You are a member. Only owners and admins can change alerts.

"Couldn't change that." The switch did not save. Reload the page and try again.

I want more people to get alerts. Alerts go to one address. Use a shared inbox or a group address that forwards to everyone who needs it.
