Create a funnel
Answer three short questions about your business, your goal and your offer, and get a set of written pages that move a visitor towards one action.
A funnel is a short run of pages, such as a sign-up page, a sales page, a checkout and a thank-you page, that moves one visitor towards one action. You answer three questions and the pages are written for your business, ready to edit.
Before you start
- Your business name and trade.
- What the funnel is for, and what you are offering. Use your real wording; it goes on the page as written.
- Your website address, if you have one. The wizard can read it and fill in the answers for you.
- To sell something on the funnel, Stripe connected under Settings › Payments.
Steps
- Open Sites › Funnels and press Create new.
- Business: "Who is this funnel for?" Paste your website into Your website and the wizard reads it and fills in what it can. Choose It's my website, or A page I like to borrow the style of a page you admire. Then check Name of the business and Industry. If the wizard could not tell your trade, it asks you to pick the closest one.
- Press Next.
- Goal: "What should this funnel do?" Pick one, for example Generate more leads, Book more appointments, Sell a course or digital product or Sell a service or package. Different goals produce different pages; a line under the choices says which pages will be built. Pick a Tone too.
- Press Next.
- Offer: "What are you selling?" Type the Offer name, for example "Free 20-minute smile consultation".
- If the funnel sells, choose Which product: an existing product, or Something new and the kind of thing it is. For something new, enter the Price (USD) (leave it blank if free) and choose A one-off payment or A subscription.
- Under What's included, write one short line for each thing the buyer gets. Press + Add line for more, up to six.
- Fill in Contact email, Contact phone and Address if you want them on the pages.
- Press Generate funnel. The wizard shows Building your funnel while it writes each page.
What happens next
- The funnel appears in Sites › Funnels. Click it to see its steps, its address and its results.
- The pages are published as soon as they are written, on your free address. Read them and edit anything you want before you share the link. See Edit a page in the editor, and Add, order and publish funnel steps to unpublish a step you are not ready to show.
- If a page has a booking section and you have no published calendar, a calendar called "Appointments" is made for it: 30-minute slots, Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 21:00, up to two weeks ahead. Change its hours under Calendars.
- If the funnel sells, the product is attached to its sales page, so the page's button takes payment once published.
- Each generation counts against your plan's monthly allowance of AI builds. When it is used up, the wizard says so and offers a pack of builds under Need more?.
Managing funnels
In Sites › Funnels, each funnel's three-dot menu (…) offers View live page, Open, Rename, Duplicate (a copy, unpublished), Archive and Delete. Archived funnels are hidden until you turn on Show archived; choose Restore to bring one back. Use Search funnels to find one by name.
For agencies
Create funnels inside a client with Sub-accounts › Open. To reuse a funnel you built, choose Copy to client… in its three-dot menu: the pages, words, look and forms go across as an unpublished copy, and the client's logo, products and automations stay their own.
Troubleshooting
The wizard will not move on. A required answer is missing. The wizard names it in red, for example "Choose what this funnel is meant to achieve." or "Add at least one line describing what's included."
"The generator did not answer. Wait a moment and try again." The pages could not be written at that moment. Your answers are kept; press Generate funnel again.
The wizard says your monthly limit is reached. You have used this month's AI builds. Buy a pack under Need more?, or wait until next month.
"Your funnel is ready, but the extra offer page wasn't added." The funnel was made without its upsell page. Add one yourself with Add a step and choose Upsell.
The website I pasted was not read. Some sites block reading. Fill in the answers yourself; nothing else depends on it.
