See and manage your published posts
Find any post, see how it did, fix a failed one, and edit, withdraw or remove posts.
The Posts tab lists everything your connected accounts publish, with what each post did. From here you can find a post, fix one that failed, take a scheduled one back before it goes, or remove one.
Before you start
- At least one social account connected.
- The owner or admin role, to change or remove posts.
Steps
Find a post
- Go to Marketing › Social and open the Posts tab.
- Switch between Grid, List and Calendar with the buttons at the top right.
- Narrow the list with the filters: - Status: All posts, Draft, Scheduled, Published or Failed. - Platform, Account and Author (who in your team wrote it). - Dates: All dates, Today, This week, This month or Custom range. - Sort: Scheduled, newest first, Scheduled, oldest first or Published, newest first.
See how a post did
Under each published post you see Seen by, Shown, Engaged, Clicks, Comments and Shares, and a label comparing it with your other posts: Early days, Good to promote, About your usual or Below your average. A post marked Good to promote also shows Promote this, which opens the boost form.
Change or remove a post
Click the three dots on a post and choose:
- Edit the picture and its words: opens the picture so you can change the headline on it or swap the photograph.
- Edit the caption & post again: opens the words and picture in the Planner, ready to send as a new post.
- Retry: only on a failed post. Tries to send it again.
- Withdraw: only on a post that has not gone out yet. It will not be published.
- Remove from the app: takes it off this list. It stays on the network.
- Remove here and on [network]: takes it off this list and off the network. Only offered for a live post that was sent from here.
A published post also has a Boost button, to put ad money behind it.
What happens next
- Numbers arrive about a day after a post goes out and are totals since then. A dash means the network has not reported that figure, not that it is zero.
- A post edited with Edit the picture and its words shows "Edited here — post it again to update it". The network keeps the old version until you post again.
- After a removal, a message says what happened on the network, for example "Removed here and on Facebook."
Troubleshooting
A post shows Failed with a reason under it. The reason comes from the network. If it mentions signing in or permission, connect the account again on the Accounts tab, then choose Retry. If it mentions the picture, edit the post with a different picture.
There is no Withdraw option. Withdraw only appears before a post goes out. For a published post, use one of the remove options.
It says "Removed here. [Network] would not take it down - delete it there yourself." The network refused the removal. Open the post on the network and delete it there.
There is no "Remove here and on" option. That option is only for live posts you sent from here. Posts that were published directly on the network, or that are already gone, can only be removed from this list; delete them on the network itself.
The numbers are empty. Figures arrive the morning after a post goes out. Check again tomorrow.
The Posts tab says "No posts yet — write your first one". Nothing has been published from your connected accounts yet. Click Create post.
