Sell your course
Build a sales page from your course in one click, or sell it from a store or an existing funnel, and keep the page in step with the course.
A course already has what a sales page needs: a name, a price and a list of what the buyer gets. The A page for this course card builds a sales page and a thank-you page from it, with your lesson titles as the list of what is included. You can also sell the course from a store, or from a funnel you already have.
Before you start
- A course with a name, a description, a price (or Free) and at least one lesson. See Build an online course.
- Stripe connected under Settings › Payments.
Steps: build a page from the course
- Open Products › Courses and click the course.
- Check the Ready to sell? card. Fix anything marked with a red warning first.
- In A page for this course, read the line that says how many lessons will become the list of what they get.
- Press Build the page. The button shows its progress, for example "Writing page 1 of 2…".
- When you see "Your sales page is ready", the funnel opens. It has a sales page and a thank-you page, and the course is attached to the sales page.
- The pages are live as soon as they are written. Open each one with Edit and change any words you want before you share the link. See Edit a page in the editor.
- Back on the course, the card now offers Edit the page and View it live. Open the live page and buy the course once yourself to check the whole path.
Steps: sell it from a store or another funnel
- From a store: open the store's Products tab and press Stock it beside the course under In your catalogue.
- From a funnel you already have: open the funnel, press Sell something here under its sales page or checkout step, and choose the course. See Sell a product on a funnel page.
What happens next
- Once the sales page is published, it takes payment. Its order form sends the buyer to Stripe's secure checkout for the course's price, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. The card says so under It takes payment once it is published.
- When somebody buys, the course opens in their customer account under My library, and their Order confirmation email links there.
- The course's list under Products › Courses shows the funnel that sells it in the Funnels column.
- If you change the course after the page was built, the Ready to sell? card says The page is out of date and names the difference, for example "The page lists 3 lessons; the course now has 5" or a price that no longer matches. What the buyer is charged always comes from the course; update the page's words to match.
For agencies
Build the page inside the client's account with Sub-accounts › Open, so the course sells into the client's own Stripe account.
Troubleshooting
Build the page is greyed out, with "Add a lesson first". The course has no lessons, so there is nothing for the page to list. Add one and press Save course.
The page takes a name and an email instead of a payment. The course is free, so there is nothing to charge, as the card says. To charge for it, choose One-time payment in Details and price, enter the Price (USD) and press Save, then buy it once yourself to check. If the course has a price, check that Stripe is connected under Settings › Payments and that the sales page is published.
"Not published yet — nobody can reach it until you publish it in the editor." Every page of the course's funnel has been unpublished. Publish them again from the funnel's step list.
"The sales page could not be built." The course is only linked to a page once the build finishes, so it is unchanged. Press Build the page again. A half-built funnel may be left under Sites › Funnels; delete it if you do not need it.
The page shows the old price. The page's words are not rewritten when you change the course. Edit the price on the page; the checkout already charges the new price.
